ABOUT BRUCE GARRABRANDT
The Author
Lancaster County artist-turned-author Bruce Garrabrandt offers ways that people can enjoy more creative, joyful living in Make Yourself Ageless, an entertaining and informative speaking program based upon his new book of the same title.
Garrabrandt believes we all have special contributions to make in life, and insists that our greatest happiness comes when we're doing what we love in ways that serve others.
The artist/author thinks most of us undervalue our creative potential. "People look at my drawings and say, 'You're so lucky you can draw. I don't have a creative bone in my body.' I tell them, 'That's nonsense!'" Garrabrandt is convinced that creativity is a universal gift. He cites children as proof of our innate creativity. "Every five year old is rich with imagination. No one ever loses this quality, but many allow it to grow dormant. Fortunately, the 'child's-eye' view can be reawakened at any age. This program shows you how."
"Surveys show that more than 85 percent of people believe in a higher power," notes Garrabrandt, "but relatively few of us--deep down--choose to believe in ourselves. To my mind, that's like praising an architect, and then being afraid to walk inside one of his or her buildings." Make Yourself Ageless encourages people to see themselves as miracles of creation, and to act on this fact in positive, loving ways. "I want those in mid-life to make the second half their soulful half."
